03 · Scalp-first method
Treat the target, not the whole wash day.
A medicated shampoo is selected for scalp contact. That does not mean every hair length needs the same exposure or that dryness through the lengths proves the active failed. Application area, contact time, rinse and separate conditioning all matter.
Pain, heavy crusting, spreading inflammation, infection-like changes or patchy hair loss are not routine-selection problems and need qualified assessment.
04 · The strand layer
Breakage is not the same as shedding.
Breakage happens along the hair fibre; shedding releases a hair from the follicle. Heat, chemical services, friction and detangling practices are central to breakage, while sudden or sustained shedding can have medical causes. This distinction will anchor the next hair-care cluster.
